I was just wondering how you guys would feel if dpgfx.net hosted a Call of Duty 4 tournament. Of course this is all just an idea, and I just want Dylan (iPLaYY) to tell me how he feels about this. I was thinking probably a 2v2 Search and Destroy tournament. Bandolier, Stopping Power, Juggernaut, and Dead Silence only. Respond to me in a message on XBOX LIVE iPLaYY.

Ok, so your’e interested in getting into competitive gaming. Before you do anything else go to Gamebattles.com and register! This is the most popular competitive gaming community out there today! With OVER 1million registered and active users it is insanely easy to either join a team or start one up yourself.
If you have a group of friends that have never played gamebattles before and they want to start up a team I WOULDNT recommend it. Having a team of only new gamebattles users will be insanely difficult to win (trust me… I made this mistake).
So, lets get started. Go to the forums for the game you want to join a team for. Go to the recruiting/free agents section and click new topic. Name the topic, “Looking for Team Ladder” or something to that matter. In the post, explain that your looking for a team, and give some general qualities about yourself. Such as, your age, if your relaxed, etc… DONT POST, your public information such as, your kd ratio, prestige, etc… When I see this stuff and I’m recruiting for my team I immediately stop reading and click the red x. This type of information turns team leaders off because it makes it seem like your only interested in pubs and have never played competitively. After you are finished be sure to bookmark it and check it often. Next go to the free agent section and register. If you do both of these sooner or later you will get team invites.
Don’t expect to join a team and have a good record. My first teams had records of 6-12, 2-8, etc… as you can see, not good. The one thing people do way to much is GIVE UP! If you want to be good at gamebattles and competitive gaming you can’t quit after a few losses. You have to understand that the more you play the more you will learn from your mistakes which will make you better.
Something I see a lot of new gamebattles players doing is not using dead silence/ninja pro. This is a NECESSITY! I would say at least 95% of the Gamebattles community has a headset. Which brings me to my next point on becoming better.
… BUY A HEADSET ASAP! Go to bestbuy and but a pair of Turtle Beaches. This will make a huge difference in your game play. You will be able to hear your enemies coming from all angles, even when they have ninja pro.
Next, if you notice that you are always carrying your team mates (always being on top of the score board by a large margin) find new team mates. Don’t be a jerk about it and call them bad, just explain that your looking to meet some new people. Pretty much just say your finding a new team in a nice way. This way you wont have people talking crap about you to others, giving you a bad name in the community.
In your first few matches you might get beat prettyyyyy badly… Please dont talk trash, trash talking will only get you bad rep and make you look worse that you really are. The only time trash talk is good, is when a team disputes a match after you kill them. Then go ahead and lay it on ‘em 
.
Overall, becoming good is not an easy task. Just don’t give up.

I’ve recently noticed in my gaming in Modern Warfare 2 that I am favoring the Famas. Like iPlayy said, it is more accurate than the M16. For me, I support using the M16 at first because it is easier since it does more damage. As I became more experienced with a three burst weapon, I felt it was smarter for me to switch over to the Famas. It has improved accuracy and I am already pretty decent at getting one burst kills, so I think it was the wiser choice. To conclude, I feel new players looking for success with a three burst weapon should begin with the M16 and then make the transition to the Famas once they feel comfortable with three burst weapons.

Assault: Famas>ACR>Tar21>M16. I choose the famas because of its incredible accuracy, even though the stats show the M16 having more damage it actually doesnt. The M16’s damage is based on damage per bullet, and since the famas and m16 both are burst guns its truly is based on what you prefer. It seems to me that I one burst more with the famas because I can hit their chest area and above much more consistently with how little recoil it has.
SMG: Ump45>p90>mp5k. The ump 45 is all around gun. Good for close combat, and decent for medium combat. I like using this gun with marathon lightweight and fmj while playing capture the flag.
LMG: I hardly ever use these weapons but I do like the aug hbar the most. The thing I like about this gun is that the clip doesnt take forever to reload like most LMG’s do.
Sniper: Intervention>Barret .50 cal. The intervention is my favorite by far. I just like the feel of using this weapon much more than the .50 cal.
Equipment: Semtax>Frag. I prefer the semtax because it blows up in 3 seconds no matter what. The frag you have to cook if you want to throw it a short distance.

You either love it or you hate it, but it will always be here in Call of Duty Modern Warfare. I am talking about no other than the M16. The image sums up the M16 practically on what is capable. It is semi-automatic, three round burst fire, and effective from medium to long range. What it doesn’t mention, is that most possible cannot stand this gun. They are so sick and tired of being killed by it, so they absolutely hate it. Me on the other hand, I love the M16. In my opinion, it is the best gun in the game. It is decently mobile, powerful, and very accurate for firing three bullets.
Range: The M16 shoots very far in this game. It is perfect for picking players off crossing bridges. Also, against snipers from long distances, you stand just as good of a chance, if not better of killing your enemy. With a sub machine gun, you’re best bet is to camp. The M16 dominates other guns from a distance and is very hard to stop. However, it is more difficult to rush with this gun because it is semi-automatic. A spraying sub-machine gunner has a much better chance of killing you up close then you do of killing them.
Damage: An individual bullet from an M16 does not do terrible damage, but it is not that powerful. The thing that helps is that the M16 is semi-automatic. 3 bullets fired simultaneously easily can take out an opponent. 3 bullets to the chest and higher on an enemy, will drop him in one burst. 2 bursts for waist, and 2-3 bursts for legs.
Fire Rate: For an individual bullet, the M16 has one of the highest bullet speeds in the game. But since it is in burst fire, it does not shoot as fast as you would assume by looking at the ratings. However, the burst fire contributes to your accuracy and makes it harder to spray.
Recommended Perks: Stopping Power, Marathon, Scavenger, Sleight of Hand, Steady Aim, Ninja
